Stud Contract

Our Stud Dogs are available to approved bitches, by which we mean that all relevant health testing(hip, elbow and current eye results) needs to be done PRIOR to mating on all bitches, they must also be within the breed standard for colour and type. The stud dogs original paperwork ie:hip/elbow scores current eye certificates, EIC and PRA results are available  to view, a copy of the above will be provided to the bitch owner. The bitch owner must provide the same to the stud dog owner. In the case of semen being shipped a copy will suffice.

Please contact us prior to the planned mating to let us know when your bitch is due in season and when you are planing a mating.

We will, where possible, provide a minimum of two matings. A litter is considered to be two (2) or more live puppies.

STUD FEE IS PAYABLE AT TIME OF MATING

A free return service will be granted if there are less than 2 puppies  or no puppies at all- providing that the same stud dog is still available. If the same stud dog is unavailable then a replacement will be offered. A replacement bitch to that stud dog will be at the discretion of the stud dog owner.

If  an AI ( Artificial Insemination)   or progesterone testing  is required then all associated costs will be met by the bitch owner.

If fresh/  chilled semen   is to be shipped to the bitch owner the bitch owner is  responsible for all costs relating to obtaining and shipping the semen. This includes but not limited to, vet expenses and traveling costs.

If using frozen semen that  has already  been collected and shipped- the bitch owner will pay their relevant percentage of collection and shipping costs  REGARDLESS of whether a litter results from that mating or not. This cost is additional to the cost of the stud fee.

We are happy to board the bitch and all due care will be taken while the bitch is in  our care. We will provide board free of charge for the first 5 days. If boarding is in excess of 5 days a fee of $10 per day thereafter will be charged.

While we respect the bitch owners rights to advertise on web sites like "Trade Me", neither the stud dogs name, photograph, nor our Kennel names are to appear in or be used in any advertisement.
